About Me

My years in corporate environments have helped me understand the meaning of stress. During times of high work demand, finding the time to exercise allowed me to alleviate stress and enjoy life. In fact, it was the realization of the value of exercise in reducing stress, building self-confidence, and developing self-esteem that led me to my career in personal training and coaching.

I have many interests that seem to include movement of one sort or another. Whether training for a triathlon, an open water event or just getting in some exercise, you might find me plying the clear waters of Deep Eddy, biking down Shoal Creek or across Iowa, or jogging the streets and trails of central Austin. Living and working abroad years ago ignited my travel bug and I’ve been on the go ever since. My adventures span the globe from Big Bend to the Galapagos Islands to the fjords of Norway. There are (a few!) quiet moments as well, when you’ll find me reading the newspaper or catching up on trends in health and exercise in the shade of a backyard tree.
