Programs and Services
My initial focus has been on women and men Baby Boomers who are looking to get back into shape or are taking their first steps towards a fitness lifestyle. I want to see people embrace their age and show the world that 50, 60 or 70 truly is just a number.
But what about Gen X or Y, those who may be the children of a Boomer or two? I have had the privilege of working with clients from 20 to 95. My passion is every bit as committed to helping younger people find the motivation they seek to become fit and fabulous members of their community.
Bottom line? I design exercise plans that match client goals not only with current abilities but hidden potential. My clients benefit from an increased sense of control, self-confidence and o
utlook on life. This includes:
- Customized exercise sessions of one hour include use of balls, bands, weights (including one’s own bodyweight), pilates and yoga movements, and much much more!
-
Cardio exercise is integral to a balanced program. I consult with clients to find his or her best cardio solution(s) and help with perfecting technique to achieve maximum results.
-
Flexibility and balance are key to clients “of a certain age” as they serve to help prevent injury and accidents. Often overlooked, these aspects of fitness are every bit as important as building strength. That is because we don’t tend to fall when we lose our balance, but rather, we end of pulling or spraining something to avoid that fall. I will help you to keep or rediscover your sense of where you are in space.
We all want to live long and healthy lives and the time to start is now!
Boot Camp
Boot Camp is a term derived from military style outdoor training. My camp is fun and exhilarating and challenges every aspect of a client’s health and fitness by packing a maximum amount of exercise inside a teensy weensy hour by the lake.
Using a circuit form of training, I incorporate jumping, jogging/walking, calisthenics, push-ups, squats, and balance work into an hour of continuous movement. Exercises utilize bodyweight, bands, balls, and the steps and walls along the Hike and Bike Trail. There are lots of rest periods throughout to keep everyone on an even keel. Check my calendar for the current schedule.
I want my clients to want to exercise because they know the results are worth the work!
